BLUE HILL AT STONE BARNS

Located about 45 minutes north of New York City, Blue Hill at Stone Barns is rooted in intention, from the food to the pacing to the way guests experience the day. Set on protected farmland in the lower Hudson Valley, the property feels grounded and purposeful, with a strong sense of place that comes through immediately upon arrival.

Weddings here can range from intimate gatherings to larger celebrations, depending on layout and buyout structure. Events typically center around the HayLoft and surrounding farm spaces, allowing ceremonies, dining, and movement throughout the day to feel connected rather than staged. The focus stays on presence and flow rather than scale for scale’s sake.

Catering is handled exclusively in-house, guided by the property’s celebrated culinary philosophy centered on seasonal, farm-driven ingredients. There is no on-site lodging, though nearby accommodations in Tarrytown, Sleepy Hollow, and the surrounding area are easily accessible for guests.

This venue is especially well suited for couples who place food, hospitality, and craftsmanship at the center of their celebration. It rewards intention and alignment, resulting in a wedding that feels thoughtful, grounded, and quietly exceptional.

Tarrytown, New York

GLENMERE MANSION

Just over an hour north of New York City, Glenmere Mansion feels transportive without feeling remote. Set across 150 acres of manicured grounds with European-inspired architecture, the property creates a refined sense of calm from the moment guests arrive. Stone facades, formal gardens, and open views establish a quiet sense of luxury throughout the estate.

Weddings at Glenmere can range in scale and setting. More intimate celebrations often unfold across the mansion and surrounding terraces, while larger weddings of up to approximately 350 guests are hosted in The Barn in the Meadow, a purpose-built event space located at the highest point of the property. The Barn offers a spacious interior designed specifically for weddings, along with a covered patio that looks out over the surrounding landscape, allowing the celebration to feel expansive without losing cohesion.

The property offers 15 on-site guest accommodations, including a mix of guest rooms and suites, as well as a Penthouse Suite. The limited room count reinforces the private estate feel and works especially well for couples who want their closest family and wedding party staying on property for the full weekend. In-house catering supports events from rehearsal dinner through farewell brunch, with an experienced hospitality team guiding the flow throughout.

This venue is ideal for couples who want classic luxury in a quieter Hudson Valley setting and are comfortable investing in a highly curated, estate-style experience. It suits those who value discretion, comfort, and refinement over excess.

Chester, New York

AUDREY’S FARMHOUSE

Audrey’s Farmhouse operates as a collection of thoughtfully designed Upstate properties, all centered around relaxed weekend weddings that feel personal rather than produced. Located just under 90 minutes north of New York City, the venues share a common approach: warm hospitality, flexible layouts, and spaces designed for guests to settle in and stay awhile.

The Greenhouses is the flagship property, pairing a historic farmhouse with a former commercial flower nursery converted into an event space. The greenhouse can host up to approximately 175 guests for a seated dinner and is connected to an adjoining barn that supports cocktail hour, late-night moments, and bar service. On-site lodging includes 19 guest rooms, accommodating up to 38 guests, and the venue operates on a weekend buyout model.

The Old Mill offers a larger footprint for couples who want more space to spread out. Set on 24 acres, the property can host up to approximately 200 guests and includes expansive event lawns, a pergola, courtyard spaces, and a pool area. On-site accommodations sleep up to 50 guests, making it a strong option for larger weekend celebrations that still want a relaxed, contained feel.

Friends and Neighbors, located just outside Stone Ridge, brings a more modern, design-forward option to the collection. The temperature-controlled event space can host up to approximately 200 guests, with on-site lodging for up to 20 guests. This property is especially appealing for winter or shoulder-season weddings, with intimate packages offered from December through March.

Across all properties, in-house catering and bar service keep the experience cohesive from start to finish.

The Audrey’s Farmhouse Collection is ideal for couples who value atmosphere over formality and want a wedding weekend that feels welcoming, flexible, and genuinely enjoyable for their guests.

Wallkill & STONE RIDGE, New York

INNESS

Inness is the kind of Hudson Valley wedding venue that makes you exhale the second you arrive. Set across more than 200 acres about 90 to 100 minutes north of New York City, the property feels expansive and quiet without tipping into remote. Rolling fields, long sightlines, and open views create a deliberate sense of space that never feels cluttered.

The design is clean and modern, intentionally restrained. Architecture and interiors are pared back, allowing the landscape to lead. Weddings here feel calm and edited rather than heavily styled, with the setting doing most of the work.

Celebrations are centered around the Event Barn, a 4,000 square foot space that comfortably hosts up to approximately 160 guests for a seated dinner or larger cocktail-style events of up to around 300 guests. Large doors open directly to the surrounding grounds, creating an easy connection between indoor and outdoor moments and allowing the day to unfold naturally.

On-site lodging includes 28 private cabins and a 12-room farmhouse, making Inness especially well suited for full weekend celebrations where guests can stay on property and settle in. Food and beverage are handled in-house, with menus driven by the on-site restaurant and a seasonal, ingredient-forward approach.

This venue is best suited for couples who care deeply about design, pacing, and how the weekend feels as a whole. It is not rustic or flashy. It is considered, intentional, and quietly confident.

Accord, New York

FOXFIRE
MOUNTAIN HOUSE

Foxfire Mountain House feels personal, expressive, and refreshingly unpolished. Set in the Catskills about two hours north of New York City, the property leans into warmth and character rather than perfection, with spaces that feel collected and lived in.

The venue spans 10.5 private acres and is offered on an exclusive-use, weekend buyout basis, allowing celebrations to unfold from Friday through Sunday without interruption. The setting includes a small inn, surrounding grounds, and flexible dining and gathering spaces that make weddings feel more like shared weekends than formal productions.

Weddings at Foxfire can host up to approximately 140 guests for ceremony and reception, depending on layout and season. The scale supports intimate, connected celebrations with an emphasis on conversation, flow, and togetherness rather than spectacle.

Foxfire offers overnight accommodations for up to 38 guests, making it especially well suited for couples who want their closest people staying on site. All catering is handled in-house, with menus created collaboratively to reflect the style and tone of the weekend. The venue requires a Month-Of Planner, ensuring logistics are well supported while keeping the experience relaxed for guests.

This venue is ideal for couples who care more about atmosphere than tradition. If you want a wedding weekend that feels social, comfortable, and full of personality, Foxfire delivers a setting that invites people to settle in and connect.

Mount Tremper, New York

L’ORANGERIE

L’Orangerie feels like a European glasshouse placed quietly into the Upstate landscape. Located about two and a half hours north of New York City, this Hudson Valley–meets-Catskills wedding venue centers around a Victorian-style greenhouse inspired by historic French orangeries. The space is light-filled and architectural, surrounded by open land that keeps the setting elevated without feeling formal.

The greenhouse comfortably seats up to approximately 150 guests for ceremony or dinner and can accommodate up to around 200 guests when the evening includes dancing and cocktail-style moments. The footprint keeps everything close but never cramped, allowing the celebration to move naturally from one phase of the day to the next.

One of the defining features of L’Orangerie is how intentionally the calendar is managed. The venue hosts a very limited number of weddings each year, which helps preserve the space and keeps events from feeling repetitive or overused. For lodging, there is an on-site farmhouse with four bedrooms that sleeps up to 10 guests, along with additional hotel and inn options in the surrounding area.

If you’re drawn to glasshouse architecture, understated European influence, and the idea of hosting a wedding in a space that feels rare rather than busy, L’Orangerie is worth a serious look.

Greenville, New York

GATHER GREENE

Gather Greene is intentionally quiet in the best way. Located about two and a half hours north of New York City, this Upstate New York wedding venue feels removed from distraction, with rolling hills, wooded land, and clean architectural lines shaping the experience.

Weddings here center around a glass-walled pavilion that anchors the entire weekend. The space offers uninterrupted views of the surrounding landscape and a strong indoor-outdoor connection, allowing ceremonies, cocktail hour, and receptions to unfold in a way that feels cohesive and visually calm. The design is restrained, but the infrastructure is built to support serious production when needed.

Gather Greene can host up to approximately 250 guests for receptions, depending on layout and event design. The scale works well for couples who want a larger celebration that still feels intentional, streamlined, and grounded in its setting rather than overdecorated.

The property includes 17 private cabins, each furnished as a hotel-style suite, accommodating up to 34 overnight guests for a two-night minimum stay. Catering is handled in-house, keeping the experience aligned with the venue’s design-forward and thoughtfully paced approach.

This venue is best suited for couples who appreciate clarity and restraint, but still want the ability to execute a visually strong, well-produced wedding weekend. If you’re looking for something modern, immersive, and quietly confident, Gather Greene delivers.

Coxsackie, New York

HASBROUCK HOUSE

Hasbrouck House blends historic character with boutique-hotel ease. Located about two hours north of New York City, this Hudson Valley wedding venue feels layered and intimate, with spaces designed for gathering rather than spectacle. The setting is grounded in history and nature, creating a sense of warmth that feels relaxed but intentional.

Weddings here are hosted May through October and are limited to one per weekend, with a full hotel buyout and two-night minimum stay required. Celebrations typically host up to approximately 150 guests, with ceremonies unfolding on the grounds and receptions centered around the bluestone patio, a space well suited for dinner and dancing without feeling oversized.

Hasbrouck House offers on-site lodging and exclusive in-house catering through Butterfield, the property’s restaurant. This structure keeps the weekend cohesive and well paced, allowing events to flow naturally from ceremony through late-night moments.

This venue is a strong fit for couples who want something relaxed but elevated. It works best for those who value comfort, continuity, and a real sense of place over scale or formality.

Stone Ridge, New York

CEDAR LAKES ESTATE

Cedar Lakes Estate is a full destination experience. Located about two hours north of New York City, this Hudson Valley wedding venue is designed for complete immersion, with the entire celebration unfolding across one expansive, private property.

The estate is best known for hosting large-scale weekend weddings, often with full property buyouts. Events can accommodate several hundred guests, with ceremonies, cocktail hours, and receptions spread across multiple indoor and outdoor spaces. From lakeside and mountaintop ceremony sites to a restored barn that anchors the reception, each part of the property feels distinct while remaining seamlessly connected.

Cedar Lakes offers extensive on-site lodging, in-house catering, and a highly experienced hospitality team accustomed to managing complex, multi-day events. The structure allows for welcome dinners, farewell brunches, and additional programming to unfold smoothly, keeping logistics organized and guests fully engaged throughout the weekend.

This venue works best for couples who want a highly curated, immersive celebration at scale. If guest experience, flow, and ease are top priorities, Cedar Lakes delivers a polished weekend that feels intentional from start to finish.

Port Jervis, New York

THE ARNOLD HOUSE

The Arnold House is quietly confident. Located about two hours north of New York City in the Catskills, the property offers a true sense of retreat without isolation. Set across 80 wooded acres, the experience feels grounded and welcoming, more like staying with old friends than checking into a traditional hotel.

Weddings at The Arnold House are designed as full weekend celebrations and are hosted year-round, with the experience shifting naturally by season. During peak months from mid-May through October, weddings typically host between 120 and 200 guests, often centered around outdoor ceremonies and lively barn receptions. In the off-peak season from November through mid-May, celebrations are more intimate, with guest counts up to approximately 90, unfolding in the greenhouse and interior spaces.

The property includes 16 guest rooms spread across multiple buildings, along with on-site dining, a tavern, gardens, and gathering spaces that keep the weekend feeling varied without being overprogrammed. Food and beverage are handled in-house, with menus built around seasonal ingredients and a relaxed, communal approach to dining.

This venue is ideal for couples who want an Upstate wedding that feels genuine and experience-driven. It prioritizes connection, comfort, and time together over performance, and that intention carries through every part of the weekend.
